Body Tatoo

There are tattoos and then there are tattoos. That may not seem to make much sense but the truth is, there is a huge difference between a safe, properly applied tattoo and the amateur art work that some people have on their bodies. Of course, examples of past work are the best way to determine if you have found a good artist. Referrals and recommendations from friends will help quite a bit. A visit to the tattoo artist’s shop will give you some idea about professionalism, safety and health conditions.

If you have the opportunity to meet with several tattoo specialists at a convention or other gathering, do so. If not, you should probably make an effort to visit the shop or studio of three or more individuals. It will also help to ask others about their tattoos, even if they aren’t friends or family members. Tattoos are sort of like a badge of honor among like-minded people.

One of the best places to find out about tattoos, designs and, of course, tattoo artists, is the tattoo magazine. This has become a huge business in the past 20 or 30 years. Not too many years ago the only people who had tattoos were men who came home from the Navy or hoodlums who got their tattoos in prison. In the 21st century getting a tattoo is about as common among young women as getting their ears pierced.

You can also find a lot of information on tattoo Web sites with a simple search online. There are millions upon millions of places to learn about tattoos and to find out where the top tattoo parlors are. Of course, pay attention to the skill and creativity of the individual when you are searching for the right tattoo artist. Look for obvious signs of professionalism
